PowerPoint Timer Quick Start
If you need a simple presentation timer for PowerPoint, UbiTimer lets you add a countdown timer to your slides in seconds. This quick start guide shows how to add a timer to your presentation in less than 30 seconds.
- Open the UbiTimer task pane in PowerPoint.
- Set the timer duration.
- Click Start Timer.
Add a Timer to PowerPoint
- Open your PowerPoint presentation.
- Launch the UbiTimer add-in.
- Set the desired countdown duration.
- Click Start Timer.
The timer will now appear on the slide and begin counting down during your presentation.
Choose Your Timer Type
UbiTimer supports different timer modes depending on how you want the timer to behave.
- Global Timer — runs across multiple slides.
- Per-Slide Timer — each slide can have its own timer.

Common Issues
The timer appears on every slide
This usually means you are using a Global Timer. Switch to a Per-Slide Timer if each slide needs a different timer.
The timer is visible to the audience
You can hide the timer from the audience using the Presenter-Only Timer feature.
