Start a PowerPoint Timer Automatically

UbiTimer allows you to configure your countdown timer to start automatically on selected slides during your presentation. This helps ensure smooth delivery without needing to manually press Start.

Step 1: Choose Your Timer Mode

1. Open the UbiTimer task pane.
2. Go to the Timer tab.
3. Under Modes, select one of the following:

• Tagged Slides – Timer runs on slides that have been tagged.
• First Slide Only – Timer starts automatically on the first slide.
• Off (Manual) – Timer will not start automatically.

Step 2: Enable Auto-Start on a Specific Slide

1. Navigate to the slide where you want the timer to start automatically.
2. Scroll down to the Timer Behaviour section in the task pane.
3. Check the box labelled “Auto start timer on this slide”.
4. Click Apply.

The timer will now begin automatically when you reach that slide in slideshow mode.

Start the Timer Immediately on the Current Slide

If you want the timer to begin instantly on the active slide:

1. Click the “Start timer on current slide” button.

The timer will immediately start on the selected slide.

How to Remove Auto-Start

1. Go to the slide where auto-start is enabled.
2. Uncheck “Auto start timer on this slide”.
3. Click Apply.

This disables automatic start for that slide.

Present as Normal

Once configured, operate your presentation as normal in slideshow mode. UbiTimer will automatically start the timer based on your selected mode and slide behaviour settings.
