Save, Restore and Export PowerPoint Timer Settings

UbiTimer Snapshots let you save your timer configuration and reuse it whenever you need it. Save appearance, behaviour, alarm and display settings once, then restore them quickly for another presentation.

Useful for: switching between classroom, training, conference and presentation timer setups without rebuilding your settings each time.

What is a UbiTimer Snapshot?

A Snapshot stores your current timer configuration so you can restore or reuse it later. This is particularly helpful when you regularly switch between different presentation styles, durations or timer behaviours.

How to save a timer Snapshot

  1. Open the UbiTimer task pane in PowerPoint.
  2. Configure your timer settings, including appearance, size, behaviour and alarm options.
  3. Open the Snapshots section.
  4. Select Save Snapshot.

Your current timer configuration is now saved for future use.

How to restore a saved Snapshot

  1. Open the Snapshots section.
  2. Select the saved Snapshot you want to use.
  3. Click Restore.

The saved configuration will be applied to your current timer.

How to load a Snapshot

If you have several saved configurations, you can load the one that best matches your current presentation.

  1. Open the Snapshots section.
  2. Select the Snapshot you want to use.
  3. Click Load.

The selected settings will be applied to your current presentation.

How to export timer settings

Exporting a Snapshot creates a backup file containing your saved timer configuration. You can keep the file for backup or share it with a colleague.

  1. Open the Snapshots section.
  2. Select the Snapshot you want to export.
  3. Click Export.
  4. Save the exported file in a secure location.

How to import timer settings

You can use an exported Snapshot in another PowerPoint presentation or restore it after reinstalling or changing your setup.

  1. Open the Snapshots section.
  2. Select the Import option.
  3. Choose the exported Snapshot file.
  4. Select the imported Snapshot when you want to use it.
